In fact, you can say almost everyone is here, from ABP to Zurich Insurance Group.
The region is also open to new enterprise and fresh ideas – tens of thousands of SMEs are based in the Central South, both enriching and diversifying the area’s economy.
These include a host of independent retailers and other traders who make the area’s retail districts come to life and offer customers something they cannot find on the internet.
The region also benefits from having four Local Economic Partnerships (LEPs) which invest significant sums in making the area more competitive and keeping it open for business. The LEPs are Solent, Enterprise M3, Dorset, and Coast 2 Capital.
The interests of commerce are also represented by Business South, which strives to promote the local economy,
build relationships, and stimulate growth.
